The company One of the world's leading architecture, engineering and consultancy firms, solely owned by it's employees, and operating in over 60 countries. Highly regarded for their capability within environmental disciplines and involved in some innovative projects through the Asia-Pacific region within the infrastructure, energy and resources sector. The opportunity Due to the new appointment of a manager to drive the environmental side of my client's mining business the organisation is seeking a senior or principal level consultant that holds a strong focus within the mining sector in regards to Environmental impact assessment and approvals. This role is to compliment existing staff within this discipline focusing on infrastructure projects and will allow the new incumbent to become the main point of contact for mining clients. The organisation are highly regarded for their attention to detail and commitment to client satisfaction within this area of the business, and due to this hold a number of key clients within NSW that hold existing work. This will allow for a technically focused consultant to join the team, working on a fairly autonomous basis and gaining a lot of support from the mining business manager. This is a great opportunity to become a leader in this discipline within a leading consultancy and make a name for yourself within this industry. The person In order to be successful within this position applicants must hold 8yrs+ experience of conducting part 3a and part 5 environmental approvals, environmental impact assessments and/or environmental management plans within the resources sector. This will ideally be within NSW, however other project locations will be considered for the right person. Additional strong skills in project management, tender development and stakeholder engagement are essential to work efficiently in this role, and experience of business development will be highly regarded.
